NeWS to KnOW

Homes that have been in any stage of the foreclosure process represent 25% of all home sales during the third quarter of 2010. According to the U.S. Foreclosure Sales Report, these homes sold on average at a 32% discount from the sales price of homes not in foreclosure. The sales percentage actually is down from 29% a year ago, showing some improvement in the market. It is a good sign that the market continues to clear out foreclosure inventory, getting these distressed properties into the hands of qualified buyers and investors who will likely add value to the properties and neighborhoods they are in.
