At a neighborhood meeting at Liberty Crossings United Methodist Church, residents were updated on the progress with the bridge over Lake Purdy.  Bob Smith Construction was awarded the contract to fix the bridge on January 25, 2011.

Preliminary work has already started on the bridge.  By mid April, actual installation of the new bridge will start as well as widening of the road.  It is expected to take between 120 and 140 days.  The Grants Mill bridge is expected to open in August 2011.
